Charles Noel Brown


Mr.Charles Noel Brown is president of C.N. Brown Plastics, Inc.

Mr. Brown is a 1958 graduate of North Augusta High School. He attended Augusta State University from 1959-1963 and in 1965 received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Georgia Southern University.

Upon graduation, Mr. Brown was employed as a lab technician by United Merchants Valchem Chemical Plant (1960-1963) and as a Chemist at United Merchants Research Center (1965-1967). From 1967-1970, he worked at Uniroyal as a Polypropylene Development Chemist. His work resulted in two U.S. patents and six foreign patents on Polyproplyene fibers. Subsequently, he remained there as a Technical Service Representative and Salesman for Uniroyal. From 1970-1975, Mr. Brown was a Southeast regional salesman for Diamond-Shamrock  covering territories in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Virginia, and Arkansas. Following this assignment, C.N. Brown Plastics, Inc. was established.

Mr. Brown’s most recent work has been in the post consumer recovery and reuse of PVC dispersion resins. This work has resulted in one U.S. patent and several more foreign patents based on the re-manufacture of carpet and carpet tile backed with PVC.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Brown’s hobbies include hunting, fishing and golfing throughout the Southeast.
