Our History

Founded in October 1974 by Charles N. Brown, C.N. Brown Plastics, Inc. was established to provide U.S. Southeastern customers with the highest quality service, affordable pricing, and access to a variety of paraffin, plasticizer, and resin products.

In 1994, following two decades of continuous success, Bobby W. Gaston, Jr., a seasoned chemical industry veteran, joined the company. His impact was felt immediately. Upon the formation of the Chemical Distribution Division, Gaston led the company to unprecedented heights, including record-setting sales and territorial expansion.

At the start of the new millennia, amid rapid economic changes and the 2002 sale of the Chemical Distribution Division to Georgia-based Colonial Oil Company, the company refocused their efforts towards the Plastics Division. However, adhering to the founding mission of providing the highest quality services and products to their customers, in addition to making sound, strategic business decisions, the company’s Chemical Distribution Division re-commenced in 2008.

On January 1st, 2018, Bobby W. Gaston, Jr. purchased sole ownership of C.N. Brown Plastics, Inc. In May 2019, due to a large investment and expansion, the company moved from its original location in North Augusta, South Carolina across the banks of the Savannah River to Evans, Georgia.

As a driving force in the plastics and chemical industry for almost half a century, C.N. Brown Plastics, Inc. is not only committed to the founding principles of providing the highest quality service, affordable pricing, and variety of products in the industry, but also to innovate and expand to remain a key player in the chemicals and plastics industry for years to come.
